If I recall right, it was recorded in 1999. By that moment we where fed up with the trendy black metal, with it's primitive riffs and arrangements that where awful in the majority of bands. That's why we decided to record something totally unlike the first demo tape. Also it was decided for Eric to perform the vocal part.
This time the material was recorded in a half-professional studio. Sadly it didn't have the possibility to record drums so we ended up using a drum machine, because the raw and massive sound of drums wouldn't fit together with the well recorded guitars.
Our compatriots from Dissection did a major impact on our sound quality with their "Storm of the Light's Bane" release.
